Environmentally Responsible Business
We at Mornington Mazda are committed to becoming a Sustainable business and as Environmentally Friendly a Dealership that we possibly can. We realize that we are in our infancy in undertaking new environmentally friendly procedures and decreasing our company’s impact on the local environment, yet we are proud of our accomplishments thus far. There is a lot to be done and here are some of our advancements:
• Installed 110,000 liter Water tanks which catch the water off our expansive roof. We pump the water up to our holding yard for vehicle cleaning.
• Installation of a Recycle car wash system. A very effective system which recycle’s the same water over and over again, preserving our collected rain water and ‘rinsing’ our waste water so as it is harmless to the environment when discarded.
• Undertaking the VIC 1000 Challenge “Village Green” local council initiative. A fantastic and informative course, attended by Tony Groves our Dealer Principal. Village Green provides a commercial related assessment of Mornington Mazda’s energy and waste usage and through innovative procedures we establish systems to reduce our business’s carbon footprint. Mornington Mazda is continually measured to ensure the reduction is then sustained.
• Commencement of the Enviro Team at Mornington Mazda. Committed key staff members self nominated to form our own environmental taskforce to persue, implement, and measure new sustainable ideas within the Mornington Mazda.
